I was born in Essex in 1955 and with Epping Forest as a childhood backdrop an interest in art was soon cultivated.
My education in the early 1970's was at Portsmouth College of Art and Design under the tutelage of Don Spetch to qualify me as both a Technical Illustrator and Airbrush Artist.
One of my first jobs enabled me to combine several years in the Lake District painting as well as being employed by Vickers Shipbuilding. Then an opportunity to advance my illustration career in Hertfordshire arose in the 1980's as a Section Leader with British Aerospace.
As part of the Business Start-up Grant, I decided to create my own company Tudor Studios in 1994 after illustrating "On The Boards" provided me with a good professional grounding. My freelance work has taken me throughout the U.K. together with a period in Germany in association with Volkswagen.
I was elected a Member of The Guild Of Motoring Artists in 2001.
More recently, I now live in rural Cornwall, still maintaining my company. I have been an active member of a UK based Visual Arts Forum and a member of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators. In addition, I have
exhibited my artwork locally, together with selling prints and cards.
My passion lies with classic automobiles. Currently owning and restoring a 1949 MGTC, 1960 Austin A35 Commercial Van and a 1980 MGBGT. All of which may be viewed on my website or more often along the quiet Cornish country lanes.
