David Marsh

Yorkshire born & bred and living in Leeds , West Yorkshire.

I trained at Wakefield School of Art, 1 year as a foundation student followed by 4 years studying graphics and illustration.

Having worked at several advertising agencies both regional and national over the years, learning the trade and gaining experience, I took a position as full time illustrator working in Germany for a period of time. On my return to the UK I secured a position as an art director for a mail order company working on ladies fashion, which gave me the opportunity to travel the world working with some beautiful models and some of the countries best known fashion photographers.

I opened my own Graphic Design/Photography Studio around 1986, and am still involved in the day to day running of the business dealing with all aspects of design, artwork, photography and print.

My personal interests include most aspects of motor sport from F1 Grand Prix to VSCC trials I did participate in hillclimbs and a few single seater club races, I still own a Modus Formula Atlantic car, I am also involved with classic cars, my personal toy being a 1971 Lotus Elan Sprint.

Painting has been a constant theme throughout my life but work, running a business and bringing up a family all served to limit my time with a brush, with my son now well established in the business I am now taking a less ‘hands on’ approach and painting is now more of a focus in my life.
